Jeff ClitesJeff Clites loves to shoot, be it handguns, rifles, shotguns, black powder firearms, or archery. He started shooting at 8 years old, shooting a 22 caliber rifle and moved up to shoot many types of firearms with the US Navy and on his own. He has a passion to teach and has taught SCUBA, martial arts, CPR, High School math and science, served as a Naval Flight Instructor and is active in teaching firearms safety and marksmanship. Jeff has been teaching firearms safety and marksmanship since 1977, when he was one of the instructors for the incoming Naval Academy class of 1981 at the US Naval Academy, and has been a NRA Certified Instructor since 1987.

Jeff became a NRA Training Counselor in 2011 and has helped over 100 individuals become NRA Certified Instructors in the below disciplines. He has shot competitively in Cowboy Action Shooting and International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA). Safety has always been a main concern for Jeff that the Navy helped instill during his years as a helicopter pilot. Putting safety, shooting, and teaching together is what lead to him become a NRA Certified Instructor.

Jeff served a full and rewarding career in the US Navy specializing in Naval Aviation as a Naval Aviator. He works with the Navy, assisting in the training of Sailors and Marines in Naval Aviation Maintenance. Jeff is a Patron Life member of the NRA and supports the NRA's efforts to protect our rights to own firearms and to hunt.

Training is a journey, not a destination. Jeff takes at least one course related to firearms a year. Training has ranged from basic firearms techniques to advanced tactical training for handguns and carbines, such as Center Axis Relock (CAR) and Quick Kill techniques.

He is certified to teach the following NRA courses for:

  • Pistol
  • Advanced Pistol

  • Shotgun
  • Personal Protection Inside the Home

Ronda EasleyRonda Easley has a lifetime of pistol shooting experience but telling you how many years that is ... would be an admission of age! Ronda grew up in a law enforcement home and really can't remember a time when she wasn't shooting. As a kid, one of her favorite activities was shooting Styrofoam cups with her BB gun in the backyard using a large oak tree as the backstop. Someone will cut down that tree one day and wonder how all those pellets got inside... She moved up to pistols starting with a Colt 1911 Ace, first in 22 caliber and then moving to 45 caliber. She was competing with this handgun by the time she was 12.

Ronda grew up understanding that a gun is merely a tool, and is only dangerous when used in a dangerous way. Her dedication to training comes from this understanding and she wants to share this ideal with her students. Growing up with guns allowed Ronda to see that there were very few qualified female instructors and she has worked to fill that void.

Ronda Easley Ronda is a Texas native and spent 11 years working for the Tyler Texas Police Department. This strengthened her understanding of the law and her respect for those who wear a badge. She is an NRA certified instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection Inside and Outside of the Home, Refuse To Be a Victim, and Range Safety Officer. She also enjoys shooting in competitions like IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) and Gun Goddesses as a founding member. When Ronda's not at the range, she's attending the University of West Florida seeking her degree in Electrical Engineering.

Mike EasleyMike Easley is an NRA certified instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and is a certified Range Safety Officer. Mike has over 20yrs experience of various firearms with specialized training and certifications. Mike is a firm supporter in our country's second amendment and he aligns this support with the belief that anyone who plans to handle a firearm should be set up for success through knowledge and training "learning it right the 1st time" and continuing those skills through practice. Mike feels that the Concealed Carry course should be a class that everyone takes even if someone makes the decision not to carry a firearm, "It simply prepares you to be safe and disciplined with firearms".

Part of Mike's passion stems from two very important ladies in his life, his wife and his mother. Mike's mom was Pompano Beach Florida's 1st "Female Police Officer" in the city's history. Mike EasleyShe instilled in him a profound respect for our folks in "BLUE" as well as the understanding that the police can't be everywhere at any given moment; so we have to be prepared to do our part in protecting ourselves as well.

Mike is also able to share his firearms passion with his wife Ronda, who coincidently worked with the Tyler, TX. Police Department. Mike and his wife were married in 1998 and have been involved in competitive shooting and firearms training throughout their marriage.

Cooper SaundersCooper Saunders is an NRA certified Pistol Instructor. Cooper has carried concealed for 22 years and has been an avid pistol shooter for many more.
His love for firearms comes from his grandfather and he still enjoys shooting some of his grandfather's old firearms on a regular basis. Cooper's favorite firearm from his grandfather would be his old rifle, a Remington 572, which happens to be where his passion for firearms all started for him when he was 12 years old.

Ask Cooper what his favorite firearm is?  Well that's simple, he states "the one that goes boom!" Cooper is a firm believer in training the young through the senior, in order to become a better shooter and a safer gun owner. Cooper is an avid reloading enthusiast (An individual who loads their own ammunition), and as anyone familiar with him will tell you, he can get a bit "Geeky" in class when it comes to talking about ammunition. Cooper loves to to bring real life experiences and scenarios to his classes, all the while keeping it interactive and entertaining.

Melinda HansenMelinda Hansen has been shooting since she was 4 years old. Her father, a Navy veteran and competitive shooter, shared his passion for shooting rifles, pistols and shotguns as well as reloading with Melinda. Growing up with firearms taught her the respect that handling firearms deserves. It is a martial art and must be respected as such. Melinda Hansen

Melinda has been an NRA certified Instructor since 2011 holding NRA certifications in Pistol, Rifle and as a Range Safety Officer. Melinda is a competitive shooter in pistol, rifle and shotgun and enjoys competing in USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association). Although Melinda's schedule stays full, she still makes time for relaxing and having fun with her family and friends every chance she gets.
